A Rosso Dolce (Red Sweet) Vermouth, crafted with a mind altering Negroni as the goal... because... well, they're the best sort!
Starting with our 10 year old dry vermouth base we have sweetened and filled out the mid palate with a hefty fat glug of the 2024 VP Crazy Shiraz Liqueur. Once the palate was balanced, the aromatics were lifted to the heavens with Seppeltsfield Road Distillers Crafted aromatics.

A whirlpool core of chocolate orange surrounded by a red berry compote of raspberry & boysenberry climbing ever upwards, uplifted by the cunningly blended & citrusy distillates. Finally the aromatics are rounded out with the funky and appropriate ’woody’ wormwood characters.
A rich unctuous, sweet but balanced explosion of fat red and black berries that just screams, "I AM BAROSSA SHIRAZ... but I like to cross dress and be FABULOUS!!"
As the initial fresh fruit explosion gently recedes, the secondary characters of mocha & chocolate-orange are revealed in a warm and comforting way, which in turn gently fade to reveal the complex interplay of the aged, oak matured Vermouth base and the awesome corky funk of the wormwood.
Starting with our complex aged Fortified Vermouth base, we have layered and sweetened it with 2024 VP Crazy Liqueur Shiraz made from our Stonewell Hill Vineyard. This heady brew has then been infused with a rich combination of citrus and wormwood aromatics, before hand bottling in April 2025. Made to create the perfect Negroni, but equally delicious over ice with soda.
